The third round of Famicompo Mini is now official. It's the biggest online NES music competition being organized by K-> from Japan. Submissions are accepted from July the 1st untill the 13th with the following rules:
1-1 File Format and Acceptance:
- NSF (.nsf) is the only allowed file format for your submission.
- Don't contain more than one track in a file (subtunes are not allowed).
- However, a track can contain several songs (like a medley).
1-2 Category
- There are two categories: 'originals' and 'covers'.
- Submit your entry via submission form at the appropriate section by the deadline.
- Maximum Number of Entries:
- A contributor can submit up to five songs as the total number of covers/originals.
- The sixth and later entries will be ignored if you submit more than five songs.
1-4 Available Sound Devices:
- No limitations. You can use every NES sound device in your favorite combination: internal sound, external sound, internal + external, multiple externals etc.
- Specify the sound device name if your entry uses any other sound chips than the internal (2a03).
* External sound devices are regarded as extra of the internal. So you don't have to declare "N106+2A03" instead of "N106".
1-5 Covers:
- Cover songs must be submitted along with appropriate informations about the original song.
- If your cover contains several songs like a medley, specify the informations in the same order appearing on the entry.
- However, the above rule is not applied if the same song is switched more than once or multiple songs appear at the same time.
* eg. just "Mario Brothers and the Legend of Zelda" are required if the sequence is Mario to Zelda to Mario to Zelda.
